Sunday May 8 (Mother’s Day (Dia de Las Madres), 4:30 PM

Cascada de Flores Concert http://www.cascadadeflores.com/

NO DEPRESSION – The Journal of Roots Music, 2016 – wrote:

It’s hard to overstate the excellence of Cascada de Flores. Led by Arwen Lawrence (voice, dance, guitar) and Jorge Liceaga (voice, lead guitar, acting), the duo pay homage to Latin American radio in an act that combines impeccable musicality, theater and the utmost respect for Mexican and Caribbean rhythms and culture. Lawrence and Liceaga…. easily, and quite pleasingly, present a straight-up concert. Interspersed between beautiful renditions of boleros, guarachas and jazz standards are witty station IDs’, comedic “words from our sponsors,” dramatic radio skits and dancing. Think Mexican Prairie Home Companion and you start to get the idea.

Ticket prices are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Concert starts at 4:30 PM — doors open at 3:45 PM. LIMITED SEATING AVAILABLE FOR HEALTH AND SAFETY — ONLY  125 Tickets will be sold. Snack foods will be available for purchase. Premium beers and wines will also be available for purchase.  Tickets (to be arranged) will be on sale at MARSHALL’S Market in Aromas (no fee) and at https://www.eventbrite.com/ (to be arranged)

POSTPONED Sunday June 12, 4:30 PM – POSTPONED

Jeffrey Halford and the Healers https://jeffreyhalford.com/

While Americana singer/songwriter Jeffrey Halford has been perfecting his craft for three decades, he’s indicated no signs of slowing down in 2022. With three European tours under his belt and his most recent album reaching number two on the Euro-Americana charts, it’s evident Halford’s influence has spread far beyond his California stomping grounds.

Over the last 30 years, Halford has been touring the country with his band, the Healers. They have played shows with some of music’s most acclaimed artists and songwriters — as well as Halford’s influences — such as Taj Mahal, Los Lobos, George Thorogood, Gregg Allman, Etta James, John Hammond, and Texas greats Augie Meyers, Guy Clark and Robert Earl Keen. Like those who came before him, Halford is attempting to write songs that withstand the test of time.

Ticket prices will be $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Concert starts at 4:30 PM — doors open at 4:15 PM.  Premium beers and wines will be available for purchase.  Tickets (to be arranged) will be on sale at MARSHALL’S Market in Aromas (no fee) and at https://www.eventbrite.com/ (to be arranged).

The Rayburn Brother’s Band https://rayburnbrothersband.com/

Singer-songwriters Craig and Keith Rayburn bring a broad range of influences to their music. Hailing from the Monterey Bay, they play songs that are a mix of folk, rock and Americana. Their voices harmonize as only brothers can, with graceful melodies, poignant singing and deft instrumentation.

The Rayburn Brothers Band has created a brand of California folk-rock that has depth and energy. Their songs convey the essence of love, longing and pain that only seasoned songwriters can express in such heartfelt terms. The Rayburn Brothers sing from the soul, touching in their audiences a chord of the human experience. Brothers Craig and Keith Rayburn grew up making music near the chaparral covered hills of L.A. Now they call the redwood canyons and crashing waves of Santa Cruz home.

The show will be opened by local favorites Chris McDougall and Richard Smith.

Ticket prices will be $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Concert starts at 4:30 PM — doors open at 4:15 PM and runs through 7:30pm. Snack foods will be available for purchase. Premium beers and wines will also be available for purchase.  Tickets (to be arranged) will be on sale at MARSHALL’S Market in Aromas (no fee) and at https://www.eventbrite.com/ (to be arranged).
