November 2019

Well, surprise, surprise! We’re enjoying a few more 80 degree days before we move into the real Autumn weather. It was hot enough to melt our chocolate Halloween candy, but don’t worry, it all got eaten anyway 🙂

Neighbors Helping Neighbors hosted the 2nd Annual Trunk or Treat event at the Grange on Halloween night and once again it was a rousing success. Will Irwin was the official head-counter and he counted over 500 kids making their way through the gates! What a fun night!

It’s time again for that fantastic Grange Hall show, Aromas Live! Aromas Live! is an opportunity to share your talent with the community and celebrate all the great home-grown talent in our little town. We are looking for people—young and old—who sing, dance, act or do comedy and love to have fun. There is a supportive audience that will appreciate your act—you truly cannot fail in front of an audience full of friends. If you would like to participate call Richard at 726-3406 by November 7th.

If you’re not ready for the stage (yet) but would like to help out, email me (Jenya) at jenyatb.loves@gmail.com—we’ll need cookies and other treats for the bake sale and it’s time to polish up your fancy dessert recipes for the fancy dessert raffle!
We always look forward to the AHA Holiday Art Festival at the Grange around this time of year. This month it’s held on the 16th and 17th from 10am-4pm. This is truly a wonderful sight to behold, beauty everywhere you look and all of it for sale! One of the best things about this event is getting to chat with the artisans about their work, to enjoy the good company of your friends and neighbors, and get all your holiday shopping done in one day! We hope to see you there~

Just as a reminder, the Grange Breakfast happens the last Sunday of every month (except December) from 7:30am-11am and consists of eggs, ham/sausage, all-you-can-eat pancakes, gluten-free muffins, juice, and coffee. And all for only $8! That means in November, you get to enjoy all this good food, company, music, and fellowship on the 24th 7:30-11am.

Neighbors Helping Neighbors continues their Good Works with Free Fruits and Vegetables Distribution on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month (the 5th and 19th of November) from 5-6pm. You don’t have to prove need, but do bring your own bags, please!

Also

, the Senior Lunch happens on November 6th. Show up at 11:30am for a little social time before lunch at noon.

And, as always, the 2nd Friday of the month (in this case November 8th) we have our Grange General Membership Meeting. Again, a great opportunity to connect with other caring members of your community, with a Potluck at 6:30pm, then to the business at hand at 7:15pm. All are welcome!

Here’s wishing us all a fruitful harvest time, with good friends and family around us. This is a good time to remember all that we have here in our beautiful town of Aromas, how much kind fellowship we get to share. Let’s take that energy of generosity and compassion and let it flow outward to bless all those we meet!

One last thing: like us on Facebook to stay up to date on all the happenings!
