Transition Aromas is a group of local residents working to increase our community’s resilience and self-reliance. Our goal is to help people transition away from dependence on fossil fuels toward more environmentally and economically sustainable ways of doing things.
Toward this end, we host a quarterly Gathering of Gardeners where local gardeners and guest speakers get together to share information about growing food. Gardeners enjoy learning from one another while forming friendships based on a shared love of gardening.
Transition Aromas also hosts the annual Aromas Harvest Fair – an old-fashioned celebration of our beloved community and its bountiful harvest. The Harvest Fair features displays of locally grown produce, hands-on harvest activities, tomato tasting, live music, the Great Aromas Zucchini Race, and many educational booths and activities.
Transition Aromas has hosted many workshops and educational events over the years, focusing on practical skills related to growing food, preparing for emergencies, and using energy and natural resources sustainably.
